Mike’s Approach .
People often appear capable on the outside while privately struggling with pressure, self-doubt, painful experiences, or feeling stuck. Whether someone is navigating sports performance challenges, anxiety, relationship difficulties, emotional struggles, or major life transitions, there is usually more happening beneath the surface than others can see.
I believe meaningful change begins with understanding the full picture of a person’s experience, not just the symptoms or the problem itself. Before trying to fix anything, I want to understand what you’re going through, what it means to you, and how you’ve been trying to manage it so far. That foundation of trust, respect, and collaboration is what allows meaningful work to happen.
My approach is supportive, practical, and tailored to each client’s needs. I work with athletes, teen and adult men, children, and families using approaches informed by sport psychology, EMDR therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and play therapy. Some clients come to improve confidence and performance, while others are seeking relief from emotional pain, trauma, stress, or disconnection. Often, the work involves both.
Rather than focusing only on short-term symptom relief, I help clients build awareness, develop healthier patterns, and create tools that support lasting growth. My goal is to provide a space where you feel understood, challenged, and supported while working toward meaningful change in your life.
