It’s time to live life with confidence again.

Meet Mike. Mental Performance Coach & LPC Associate in Frisco, TX.

Supervised by Nikolaus Johnson, MS, LPC-S, RPT-S

You’ve been carrying a lot. Whether it’s the pressure to perform in sports, the weight of past experiences you can’t shake, or the day to day stress of relationships and responsibilities. You find yourself stuck. You work hard, but lately it feels harder to push through obstacles or stay confident in yourself.

Maybe you’re an athlete who can’t stop second guessing yourself, a parent worried about your child’s emotional struggles, or a man feeling the quiet weight of depression or lost purpose. Self-doubt and stress don’t just stay in one part of life. They spill over into everything affecting your focus, mood, motivation, and even the way you see yourself.

Here you don’t have to hold it all in. This is a place where you can speak openly without judgment and start to work through what’s holding you back. Together, we’ll help you find relief, build confidence, and create lasting change in your life.

I work with people who are ambitious, motivated, and often harder on themselves than anyone else. For athletes, that might mean learning to control your game day nerves, play with confidence or overcome slumps and burnout. For others, it could look like finding relief from past trauma, helping a child manage overwhelming emotions, or supporting men who are struggling with stress, purpose, or relationships.

Our time together is always centered on you. When it makes sense, we may draw inspiration from athletes, coaches, or others who have pushed through challenges to reach their full potential. But ultimately, our focus will always come back to what struggles mean for you and what you need in order to move forward.

It’s not only normal to seek support, it can actually be a strength. Therapy and performance coaching are about building your strengths while also addressing the areas that hold you back. When we work together, you don’t just get a therapist, you get a teammate who is committed to walking this journey alongside you. And over time, the progress we make in session can ripple out into every part of your life.

I’ll work with you to reach your full potential.

I understand what it’s like to feel pressure to perform, keep it together, or not let anyone down. As a former athlete, I’ve faced my own struggles with confidence, identity, and setbacks. That experience shapes how I show up in the room with not only empathy, but a deep understanding of what it takes to work through challenges and come out stronger.

Clients often tell me they appreciate that our work is both supportive and practical. I combine sport psychology, EMDR, and cognitive behavioral therapy to help you understand what’s happening beneath the surface and give you tools to move forward. When it’s helpful I may draw from my background in athletics but our focus always comes back to you, your goals, and what’s getting in the way.

You don’t have to figure it all out alone. My goal is to provide a space where you feel understood, challenged, and supported so that you can build confidence, gain clarity, and create lasting change in your life.
